My Granny passed about a month ago. The way she went shouldn't have happened. Here is what was going on (keep in mind that she was 92 and she needed constant care).

My dad and my stepmom both left the house and left Granny Martha there alone. She has this thing where she thinks that she will run out of undies so she has someone wash them for her in the sink. Since she was left alone she took it upon herself to wash them by herself (she was mostly wheelchair bound). She hasn't been very steady on her feet for some time. She fell in the bathroom and ended up breaking her pelvis. She was in the hospital for 4 days then my stepmom made the desision to have her home. She was home for 10 day before she passed. My dad and stepmom took care of her and regulated the morphine and another high pain killer. My father was never in there when the Dr. or nurse came to see her. After she passed my stepmom didn't do a wake or anything. Just had her cremated. My granny also gave me a painting and has been telling me to take it for quite some time now and I kept acedentally on purpose forgetting it. When I went to see her before she passed she told me to take it and I was going to but my stepmom told me to forget about it until after she passed. I was talking to my stepmom on the phone and she told me that the painting was to go to her. It was in the will and that was that. My granny was very important to me and now I will get nothing that she gave me.
