I didn't know where to post this so I'm putting this here. I'm really worried about one of my online friends. Her name is Shayla.

Last night her mom, who is an alcoholic and drug addict, tried to kill her. She held a gun to her head, calling her all kinds of things, and just before her mom pulled the trigger her sister pushed her to the ground, saving them both.

Her father grabbed the gun out of her mother's hand, told her he'd beat the living crap out of her if he wasn't a guy. My friend told her she wasn't a guy and started beating the crap out of her. Her father kicked out her mother, she refused to leave and everything. Eventually, though, she did leave. I'm really worried about my friend right now, for good reason.

Everybody I talk to is always telling me that not every drug user and alcoholic are not bad people, but how can I believe that when I hear this? I am very judgmental when it comes to alcohol and drugs, and see no reason why I should give these people a chance, really. I know that's harsh to say, but can you at least understand my reasoning when I hear about this kind of thing happening to the people I love?

Well, anyways, I'm very thankful for my friend's father and sister. I want to cry so badly for her but am fighting off the tears. I guess she's in good hands right now, but that doesn't make this any easier for me...or for her.
