It is always difficult explaining your struggles to others. I found that I couldn't because I had to say it so that it was correct, when really you go though so much that words can never be enough. I would suggest just blurting out your feelings and correcting them later. It can be very frustrating though if you think they don't understand. Most of the time though, people do try to understand if they care about you. I wish you luck. As for trying to avoid the breaking point, I would say try finding an outlet.
