and i'm concerned your friend was prescribed lots of the med too. highly addictive. doctors have become irresponsible. they are helping to create more addicts!! 
moose i believe you already know this isn't something for u to do or u wouldn't have posted, imho. i'd talk with your doc about testing to get to the root of the cause re migraines and trying another non-narcotic med. anti-anxiety meds might do the trick or muscle relaxers like bachlophen-spelling....  what precipitates the migraines? might help you avoid those triggers along with a med.
