Apparently I have borderline type anyway which is what you would call BPD (we only just started calling it EUPD over here anyway)
However my psychiatrist made me look at his book which stated the symptoms and said thta to have borderline type you have to meet certian criteria for impulsive type. And me, my SW and my Psychiatrist agreed I dodnt meet any of the criteria for the first type so I dont know how he can diagnose me with borderline :/ Both my sw and her trainee were very confused but tried to get me to not think about it but tlak to him about it when I next see him.
It would really help if he understood english a bit better as I dont think he actually knew what I mean ta lot of the time even though really he shoudl becuase he is a doctor. He kept repeating what i was saying wrong, asking me to go slower and asking for the menaing of words i was using and how to pronounce things in his book :/ bit worrying. I dont mind foreign doctors in the slightest as most the doctors i have actually had especially psychiatrists are either chinese or indian, I'm not sure why. But they have all had a very good level of english. I guess everyone has to start somewhere I just wish I could be sure he understood me.
Thanks for the help though guys, I think Imight try and get a second opinion and I'm going to focus on my treatment and not my diagnosis for now like you suggested. I mean they apparnetly dont reccomend any drug therapy for EUPD in this country and yet I'm on 4 different types, which the same doctor has just increased to cope with my more dramatic mood swings.
