I just weaned off Seroquel, with my psychiatrist assistance, of course. I took 3 months to come from 300 mg to none. I did it because I was starting to get those jerky movements in my hands and legs. Also, even thou I'm not a diabetic, my blood sugar started to act like one. And let's not even talk about the 40 lbs I gained in a year.
I am still on 400 mg Lamictal for mood stabilization (ha!) and Xanex for anxiety.
It's been two weeks without Seroquel and I still have hot/cold flashes, night sweats, and when I manage to fall asleep, I can't stay asleep for more than an hour. I'm starting to feel the depression and self loathing creeping in. My question is, does the withdrawal get better? Or have I gotten so dependent over the last year that I may have these symptoms forever?
