just speaking for my own T, I think she would take that particular type of clock as being just a bit ... IDK...she is very careful with people's feelings.
I once gave her a necklace that included a few beads made of crackled quartz, and I told her "they're a little bit cracked - like me" ... she looked very grave. Ouch!
