I know how you feel. I dont know how to tell the doctor.

I know there can be lasting effects. I have a broken tailbone from abuse that cant be fixed. I also have very poor hearing from my right ear from being beat in the side of my head as a child.

I dont know what to tell you, but it is very frustrating to have emotional and physical effects many years later.
