Here's my take on it...
I've lived in Massachusetts for about 10 years, spent two years in Washington, DC, and the majority of my extended family lives in New Jersey. My childhood was in Ohio, and I am currently living in Wisconsin.
I think the mian difference is, and this is just my opinion, not any scientificly studied or hard facts, but girls in the midwest have a tendency to be a lot more religious and also a lot more conservative in their thought processes, beliefs, and even clothing style. I have a friend here in WI, lived in Ohio for 18 years, and she was recently buying her wedding dress. The dress she picked out has a super thin brown ribbon around the waist -- she worried about getting it because she didn't want anyone thinking she was a slut or had slept with her fiance before marrying him. From what I've observed, no one really worries about that back east.
I wouldn't say that girls are sluttier on the east coast (some are, not all); everything is just more.. relaxed. Another thing I've noticed is that in the midwest, fashions are still a few years behind what people wear on the coasts.
Maybe to try to spice things up you could try shopping for lingerie at national brand stores, like Victoria Secret or Fredericks of Hollywood.
I'm sorry if this wasn't actually much help. I really can't tell you what to do differently, I can only just point out what I've noticed as differences between girls back home and girls here.
Good luck!
