Just feel the feeling for what it is. Once you have felt the emotion, move on to feeling something else much like you would do if you were watching tv and didn't like what was on and changed the channel. I learned this in DBT therapy. It is hard at first but with practice it works. You can also journal to help get out the emotions you are feeling. Good luck to you.
