Can't stop, I agree with others, that you might feel safer telling little bits of your story, then putting it away for a while and doing soothing activities, until you next feel ready to look at and share another piece. It's helpful to have tools to help make yourself feel safe again, after examining the hard stuff. We've all done things that we regret. It's what it is to be human, and the mistakes are infinitely forgiveable. Those experiences deepen and burnish our souls, and make us more compassionate toward others and their frailties.
