I wake up nearly every morning depressed, drained, and lethargic. When my alarm goes off all I can think about is going back to sleep. Sometimes, on my days off from work, this leads to oversleeping (I will sometimes sleep for 14 hours). When I finally do get up I am a zombie for several hours.
At night I am usually the opposite; Tons of energy, racing thoughts...
I have rapid cycling bipolar II (extremely rapid) and 95% of my hypomanic episodes occur in the evening or at night.
Anyone else experience this?
Trazodone has helped me get to sleep at night but no antidepressant has gotten rid of my morning depression.
What has worked for you?
