You are paying the professors to elevate you to mastery of a field of knowledge. This punishment model of education is absurd. A faculty that tolerates or, worse, encourages such instruction reflects discredit on the university.
I don't how much energy depression has left you, Googley. I hope you've sufficient psychic reserves to launch an offensive of your own. If you're an unhappy consumer of academic services, complain to the higher-ups, and make sure Public/Alumni Relations knows, too.
At the very least, you can warn your peers:
