Hi,
I know when I found out I had mild ADHD (inattentive), it was a bit of a relief to know that I wasn't just a space cadet.

I often felt that way, and my hubby still has moments when I'm sure he shakes his head in bemusement at some of the things I say or do.
It can also be confusing and overwhelming to think of yourself and your behaviors in a different light. It sounds like your treatment team are caring and make efforts to really understand you. That's good.
There are a number of books out there about living with ADHD. One that comes immediately to mind is "You Mean I'm not Lazy, Crazy, Dumb, or Stupid" (or something like that). Amazon has a ton on the subject.
Good luck,
gg
