You are not 'gross' - it's a perfectly normal reaction for some of us.

I think you need to not worry about the whole title issue and just go with the flow. When you find the right person, male or female, the chemisty will be there and you'll know.
Don't worry about society - go with your heart, and remember that the only thing that matters is that you are happy!
