Welllllllllllll, everything above is true, but I get it. AND, borderlines do well in very structured environments, especially where "the mission" is more important than relationships.....but would it be a good thing for your soul?, as in, would you grow any, deal with anything, learn how to manage your disorder? No.....you'd just be getting someone else to do it for you. Then what????? Yikes! Better to deal with the condition, then make a "career" move. In the meantime--what about college and a lot of PE classes!
Re the meds, there's no real cure for migraines either, but it sure feels good when the pain stops--regardless of who "approves" the drugs. I know I am better on meds--less depressed, less often extremely irritable....but those things still happen, and I haven't learned good social skills yet: I am too easily hurt by criticism and anger...what would make it easy to take criticism in the army is that it would be about following orders, learning skills--pretty basic stuff....like, uh, when you're a kid. No wonder it sounds attractive!
