I started to get off the bus at the back because it was a little closer to my destination, but I wanted to thank the driver, so I turned and went up the aisle and told him thanks. He said "you're welcome and have a good evening". I said "you too." Then I turned around and looked him in the eye and said "And watch out for bad drivers." He thought about it for a second and his face lit up and he laughed a little and he said "I'll do that". I told him I always told my son that. When I am in the grocery store I tell the clerks "don't let them work you too hard." I get a variety of responses to that. I've lived in my neighborhood a long time. It makes me feel connected to recognize people.
Thanks for this!
