I'm sorry those things happened to you. That clinic sounds like a train wreck. I think good advice (which doesn't help you with your current injuries) is to check out a therapist with your state board of health before you see him. My state has a website you can go to and search on any health practitioner in the state and see if they are licenses, when they got the license, what type it is, what complaints they have had filed against them, etc. I did this before my daughter started with her therapist.
I hope you proceed with filing a complaint. I hope something gets done about these people who took advantage of you.
IMO, it is not worth hiring a lawyer. They have to show some sort of irreparable harm caused, and that wouldn't necessarily be easy in this case, or worth the hassle of doing it. I'm not saying you were not injured by this, but there is a burden of proof required by the law. If your goal is to put a black mark on these "therapists'" record and potentially have them lose their license, the best route is filing an official complaint through the state, just as you are.
