I'm very glad you got help. I didn't get help for a bad cut that happenned 12 days ago (accidental) and it wound up getting badly infected. I wound up being on oral antibiotics for 5 days IV antibiotics for 8 days and now I have to be back on oral antibiotics for another 7 days. And I have to bathe it in salt water twice a day. Bad cuts are nothing to mess around with.
