We have a shortage of pdocs here. The hospital and the clinic I go to both have empty slots they are trying to fill. My pdoc isn't taking any new patients as her load is too high. She has me make 2 or three appointments at one time so I can be sure to get in. She is booked four months out right now. But, I can get in if I need it on an urgent care appointment... with her nurse and one minute of her time and I am glad to get it.

I know you want to get in to see your new pdoc now but, considering the overall shortage of psychiatrists, you are lucky.
