I have been using the Emsam patch for 2 1/2 weeks. Started having headaches and insomnia when I started it. Called my psychiatrist and he said give it a bit and see if it goes away. Fast forward to yesterday... I called and said problems were not better.

I finally got a call back today and was told to switch from my Ambien CR to ativan for sleep (also due to doing things in my sleep that I can't remember).

I said "I can't take that with the Emsam, can I?" His nurse (cause heaven forbid I should talk to him directly) says "no, definitely not, but he's gone today, so it'll have to wait till Monday..."

Also told her I stopped the Emsam cause I can't handle the headaches and insomnia.. her response "I'll just talk to him on Monday"

What the hell?!?!?! I called at 8:30 yesterday morning to make sure this didn't happen again!!!
