I was doing my best to sleep in this morning in between getting my hair chewed on by my cat, getting hopped on by my other kitten...etc....
I drifted off and I had this short, but intense, snippet of a dream. I was in a room, standing at the foot of a bed facing the headboard. On the wall behind the bed was a large picture that took up most of the wall. While I was staring at it, I heard this loud pop/crack sound and the picture exploded towards me. The glass shattered and flew at me and I could feel myself getting thrown backwards. It only lasted about two seconds maybe and I bolted awake. My heart was beating fast and I had that feeling of wanting to run away. I looked at the clock....It was 9:32 AM.
I decided to get up and feed the animals because I didn't feel like I was going to be able to sleep anymore after that. Tonight I was reading a news story that there was a 3.7 earthquake in my area and that a lot of people were reporting that it felt like one "big jolt". USGS says that the quake happened about 9:30 AM!! I wonder if I was consciously aware of the quake, but so relaxed that my mind put the jolt in my dream. I wonder if the cracking sound and the exploding picture were actually the sound/feel of the big jolt? 
Dreams are very intriguing!!
