For the first time ever that I can remember anyway I actually let myself feel the emotions and just breathed my way through to the next, I was in my therapist office but I did it with out taking too many meds or hurting myself and I have to say I am starting to think that concentrating on your breathing helps... for me it has and this is after five yrs in sessions that I actually finally did it, not saying it works all the time but I find lying down and taking in every breath seems to help calm at least...
