I have to ask--why do your aquaintainces insist you need to "see someone"? What sorts of bad thoughts are troubling you?

As for your reticence, all I can say is that I have been to many appointments at pdocs and tdocs, and I almost never see anyone else there, period. And even if you were to see someone you happened to know, what's the big deal? They are there for the same reason you are!

It's kind of like the time I ran into my Sunday School teacher at the gay bar...I freaked until I realized he wasn't going to be saying anything!
