Well - got a late start getting ready for work, rushed got dressed, running around trying to find my shoes (swear they walked away). Found out fast my dog pee'd on the floor! grrrr Clean it up, beat the dog (just kidding), off to change my sock. Back to finding my shoes. Whew! found them in my daughters room "They did walk away". Finally off to work, crap left my purse, lunch and coffee on the counter - back home (about a mile) grabbed my goodies and back off to work, I might just make it in time. DAMN - those are red and blue lights!!! 5 min lecture from county cop about how my speed is going to get myself or someone else in danger. (Thinking: Im a f**king ER nurse, I KNOW what speed does, now hurry up Im late for work) "here's your ticket mam' I wrote you for 5 over, even though you were doing 62 in a 45 mile hr zone" "Thank you sir, your to kind" (Thinking: JERK). Whew out of site now - hammer down! Make it to work - 6 level parking ramp, last damn parking spot on 6th floor -"f**king mondays". Punch in 10 min, lecter from charge nurse about being late. Get to my assignment, find my four bed (er) rooms full of patients already. Co-worker: "I thought I'd help you out since you were late, and filled your rooms for you". Thinking: Great 4 pt, 4 sets of orders and least she could have started the orders, but nooooo! Its up and down from there, "sickies to seekers" Day is busy, busy, busy no time to eat my lunch (should have left it at home, it keeps staring at me from my desk) Finally 5 mins to eat - crumbs and guew all over my key board! Work day comes to an end 12 hrs later, yea! back home! Home to a house full of sleeping family. AH, check on everyone - their so beautifull, (thought: yes, this is why I'm here) Crawl into bed, snuggle to the hubby, close my eyes......wham! Its morning and here I am. In about an hour Im to start getting ready for work to do it all over again....maybe I should start now. Oh, BTW happy valintine day (yesterday) to everyone!
