If I am really bummed, I knitt or plan a knitting or weaving project because I really can get caught up in it and it loses the "I'm doing this to distract myself" feel. Weight lifting is nice, but I always fear I will lose it and send one of them through the wall, and as this s a log house, well, it wouldn't be pretty, that's all. I have enough lincoln logs to pick up as it is.

I call a friend who has a bizarre sense of humor who can come up with all sorts of reasons to dust myself off and get moving. If I can't call her, I can always have imaginary conversations with her or a few others I know and that usually cheers me up for a while. If I am really cycling, nothing really bites permanently, so I have to keep at it.
