Much is the same. Here in PA we do the same things as the rest of the country, but growing up in a divorced family was interesting. Instead of one year going to mom's for Christmas and the next year going to dad's on Christmas, we decided to have Christmas on Christmas Eve at my dad's and had Christmas on Christmas Day at my mom's. That way there was less fighting between the parents as to who was gonna have us on Christmas.
Even though my mom passed away almost 2 years ago, we still have Christmas at my dad's on Christmas Eve. Now Christmas Day for me is spent remembering the holidays I had with my mom...keeping this day more special than it originally was. Although, I don't get much for Christmas anymore, I still treasure it.
