I thought I was awake (I am in bed with a migraine today). I could hear my kids downstairs, and my husband down stairs. I heard my husband say "OK, Bye." as he went out the door to go to work. Then my kids came upstairs and they were asking me for a snack. I was asking my oldest how the youngest got home from preschool, and he wouldn't answer me. Then I felt someone holding me down. It was my oldest and my youngest climbing on me. I told them to get up because I couldn't breathe. They were asking for snacks. I told them that I couldn't get a snack if they wouldn't get off of me. I heard someone outside yelling about something, and I woke up to my kids climbing on me and asking for snacks. I was still confused about why the youngest was home before it was time for me to go get him from preschool. I figured I was pretty out of it from the migraine and maybe my husband just let him stay home today. Then I woke up again to the person yelling outside. Then I woke up again. My house is empty because the reality is that my husband went to work, my youngest is in preschool and my oldest was picked up this morning by his dad so that he could browse the book fair while his dad went to the parent teacher conference that I can't go to because of the migraine.

I know it was just sleep paralysis with dreaming, but it was so real. I was so involved. I could feel, hear, see, smell, everything. I have had this before but never to this extent where there were so many layers to wake up from and usually I am passively watching something rather than being involved.

Scary.
