So glad you are taking action to learn bike-riding and interviewing for a full-time job. Do take time to write down all the reasons why you would be good for the job before your interview. Talk yourself up to yourself, so you'll be prepared to put your best foot forward. You sound like you have reasonable expectations about your prospects. I used to be in the hiring/firing mode as a supervisor and superintendent in businss and manufacturing. I would have been please to talk to someone like yourself who has realistic expectations and wanted to do the work. I would be pleased to have someone with military and government background. And, best of all, someone who had been working on the job already, so we could see the work ethic and performance. Being on time and doing everything you are asked to do is of major importance. Doesn't hurt to have relatives and church members in the group--can you ask them for references? How about your current supervisor?

Good luck to you!
Thanks for this!
