Glad your psychiatrist was encouraging and helpful in your brief visit, Carrie! Your post sounds so much brighter and more hopeful! I can relate to the pre-visit anxiety you felt. When we are so sad, so much hangs on being able to get some help!
Mudgey, have you tried Burns, "Feeling Good Handbook?" It was recommended to me by a psychiatrist I saw in the hospital. Gives you exercises you can work through on your own to help yourself feel better. Also a good resource for understanding some of our "issues".
