To be absolutely honest, it sounds like a good thing that you don't have to work with people who invade your privacy as they did. It makes me a bit nervous, as I would, in the UK, have to disclose medical history for most jobs, and I imagine that will cut me out at the interview stage. If I did get a job though, I'd be covered by anti discrimination laws.

I know you've had a difficult time lately... hoping it gets better soon. Perhaps losing the job will turn out to be a blessing in disguise... I'm glad you could see some positives.
