one thing that was hard on my son the first time he was in foster care was that he had to understand his coming home was not my choice to make. There were two lawyers, two therapists, a judge, the DHS case worker, and the CRB (citizen Review Board) involved. All those reports on my son and I had to match stating it was ok and in his best interest to be allowed to return home. My son now is in a residential treatment program. He will not be coming home until he is 18 because the states one year time limit ran out. Though reports on my side of the case say I am ready for visitation, his side does not so there is no visitation as of yet. It isn't up to your mother whether or not you come home and stay home. All the official reports on your mother and you must match and recommend your return. right now they are matching for passes home and visitation. If things continue improving the reports at some point may show that you can safely be returned home. Good luck and great job earning the weekend and holday passes home. They are hard to earn.
