a question for you roxanne - did you tell your pdoc you mood was way down, did you tell him you feel down and empty?

around here mental health providers are not allowed to assume how the client is feeling. we have to wait until the client tells us how they feel before we can address it. the closest we can get to bringing issues up is by asking the client generic, open ended or broad questions. .. how are you doing today? how was your week? is there anything you would like to talk about today?

mental health providers are not mind readers. yes theres body language but even that can be misleading. a person can appear to be happy but in actuality they are down, a person can appear to be down and out but in actuality they can be top of the world.

Suggestion maybe you can call your pdoc and tell them how you are feeling, email them your feelings or write out your feelings and give what you write to them.

Thanks for this!
