Your daughter's attitude, insight and desire to remain well is critical to her recovery. Like many PBs I resisted the diagnosis and medication for years despite multiple hospitalizations. I had an epiphany when my son was born and I was in the state hospital. I vowed to comply with my doctor. Fortunately lithium has kept me level ever since. I applaud you sticking by her and not letting her rejection drive you away. Hopefully her father will find a way to present a united front with you on this problem.
