Hi LifeAsWeKnowIt,

You've got an awful lot of stressful situations weighing you down at present, and I'm sorry for everything you're going through. I don't know if I can address all of it, but I'll try to help with what jumped out at me when I read your post.

Why won't you be able to make the financial aid deadline for school? Seems to me if you could get the paperwork in/file online in time, that would eliminate a number of issues from the get go. Also, try not to quit school if you can't clear up the monetary side of it--see if they will allow you to take a semester off or something like that so you won't have to reapply, which would mean more hassles, and a reapplication fee.

If you must leave school, would you consider enrolling in a community college for a class so you could stave off paying back your debt? Also, you should inquire if there's any type of grace period available with your loans if you intend to complete your education.

Can your family pitch in while you try to resolve all this?

Honestly, I don't think I'd be able to relax with such difficulties looming, and I'm not sure how to advise you in that capacity. My heartfelt suggestion would be to try and fix as many of the practical problems you can.

I'm sorry about your friendships falling apart; I know how confusing and saddening that is. If the friendships do not resume, I hope you are able to find peace with that in time.

All the best to you!
Thanks for this!
