many things can cause memory loss and lowered concentration, medication is just one thing which causes it. stress, depression, lots of things going on in your life, lack of sleep, unhelpful care teams etc are but a few other things to consider.
the more i try to remember the less i actually do remember! partly because of all the things i have to remember just to co-ordinate my movements and partly the tiredness and frustrations i have all the time! I do not take m/h meds so i can't put it down to that!
best thing i have found is to write a list before i go to sleep of everything i need to take with me the next day (that is after i have checked my diary, calander and internet to see what i have to do and where i have to go!) If i have to be somewhere at a specific time i set an alarm on my mobile phone for an hour before i need to be there! I have even resorted to writing a reminder on my arm when i could not reach any paper and when it first began i put a note on the banister to remind me to turn off the bedroom light and tv before i went downstairs for the day and one on the front door reminding me to take my keys out with me!
