There was this guy likes me and have been trying to go out with me for years. He often jokes with my bestfriend that he'll wait for me until me and my bf breakup. Everybody knows that he likes me. He even bought me a bday present 4 months early because he only can get it at that time, by the season of my bday they wont be selling it anymore. Sometime he send me flowers at work, other time he send me anomyous flowers (i've always love getting flowers) but i kept drilling him with question and he finally admit it's his. He tried to call me throughout those years serval times but i never pick up his phone call. I do reply to his texts though.

Last night while i was sleeping, i got a text from him said 'I love you' ten minutes later another text said this is 'his-name' he's sorry to bother me and asked if i'm sleeping right now or not. Two minutes later he said he got the wrong number. Note that during all these time, i didn't reply at all because i was sleeping.

From what i know, first of all it's kinda hard to send text to a wrong number because the phone ( I might be wrong but this is just how it is on all my phones and friends' phones) always ask to confirm who you're texting to. and he got my number saved to his phone with my name in it. THe only time you don't have to confirm the name is when their texts to you is still remain in your inbox and you just reply to it but we haven't text each other for a loooong time.
Secondly, why don't he just said wrong number in the first place? why ask if i'm still sleeping or not? And what i don't get it why does he even state his name for?
