It's New Year's Eve, the most social of holidays
Yet I sit here

Alone

No one calls,
Not Mom,
Not my sisters
Not My children.

Alone

Not even the members of my church,
they don't know I'm here anymore.

I have no friends
who wonder what I'm doing
or how I'm feeling.

If I did, they would avoid me so I couldn't tell them.

Why has my life come to this?
I thought that I had done evrything I could....
Being there for others,
Helping them through hard times

But I have disappeared from view.
Out of mind, Out of sight!
Out of sight, Out of mind!
