Yes.... never able to have a conversation with anybody without second guessing what they say, what I say, what they may be thinking, etc etc.

Yes, when my son was little I thought he might be taken away from me by various agencies, or that he might be kidnapped and sold as a slave because he was such a beautiful blond haired boy. I also was scared that people were going to break into my house and steal my pets, and my musical instrument.

Yes, to the extent that I climbed into our attic, looking for bugs, and thought I'd found them, saw cameras in the cracks on the ceiling, and put duct tape over them so they couldn't "see." I used to walk round the house with the radio tuned to static, because I thought when it squealed that told me where there was a bug. And I climbed a lampost after the council came out to fix it, because I thought they might have put a camera on it to look at our home.

Never had that one.

I guess I just want to know if anyone out there shares my fears.
I think your fears are probably common, but it depends how often you think about them, and how intense those thoughts are. If you occasionally think something irrational, and then shrug it off, that's one thing. If you're constantly looking for bugs, taking apart the plug sockets, climbing lamposts, and looking over your shoulder for pet stealers, or deciding not to leave the house so nobody will take your animals when you're up the shops, then it's a problem.

Only you know how disruptive these things are to your life. It's worth talking to your doctor about these things. It's when I finally came clean about this kind of thing that I got a proper diagnoses, and medication that finally brought my symptoms under control.
