 It can be tough enough even when you know their compliment is truth, but yes, tougher when you don't believe them.
But, no matter what, smile and say, "Thank you!" or some similar why thank you, thank you for noticing... or even and you do too!
It's a great way to reach out to them...accepting their compliment and making them feel better about themselves.
Remember, beauty isn't only skin deep
