i have just watched a programme on TV called Leah's dream, it was about a little girl who has neimann-pick type C, her life expectancy was 5 years old, she is defying all the odds by reaching her 10th birthday! She has lost the ability to walk unaided, her speech and swallowing are deteriorating and her memory is failing too amongst other debilitating things, but she has a smile and love for life that put me to shame!
It made me realise how lucky i am, i feel guilty for all the moaning and demands i have put on my care team when my problems are minute in comparison to hers and she did not moan once during the programme!
I wish her every bit of luck that is around. Leah you are an inspiration. xx
