My daughter is 22 and has had several boyfriends, and she gets pretty low when there is a break-up. She is quiet, but once you know her she is a good blend of being an intro-extrovert.
I have found these things to be (T)rue as I know them. If you are good to yourself...its attractive. Doesn't mean you have to be overly anything..like assertive, beautiful,...all those things we tend to put worth into. It just means to be selfish with self. A good selfish...is a win-win situation. I understand that "belonging" is a big priority of life..a heirarchy of needs....
Remember that meeting someone on line is good practice for communicating...and also it may mean..."geeze, what if I meet this someone face to face!"
Take care of self...and the rest will take care of itself.
