I did a bit of individual DBT with my T a few years ago when i was quite unstable, It helped quite a bit. I learned a lot of skills and still use them. She got me a really great book as well..I forget the title of it but can look it up if you would like. She used to make me read certain parts of it and give me homework from it. DBT really helped my SUI and SI urges as well as my affect dysregulation (Which was horrendous at the time) and we noticed a huge overall improvement. It is hard though and there are no short cuts with it. The one thing that we have kept using is the phone calls.
