It is so hard to be alone. I have friends at home, but few at school, and the idea of trying to make some more in this state seems impossible. After all what is at all attractive about a young woman who bounces in and out of depression.
Even my friends at hope don't understand my depression and other mental illnesses, so in that sense I am alone. If I look at things from a certain perspective that I will always feel alone.
Sometimes I think that isn't all bad though. Maybe I can work out my problems and during that time limit the hurt done to those around me. Not that I am certain I can.
We are all alone, and we are all not, but I hope you can feel the benefits of being alone and the benefits of sharing your pain with people who understand.

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!
