racee, when I was first getting started with my PNP, it seems like we frequently had schedule snafus--she would think it was one day or time, and I would think it was another. I started emailing her a day or two before every appointment for confirmation. It would just be a brief message, "just wanted to confirm we are meeting this Wednesday at 2:30 pm" or something like this. This really helped us get on track. If she did back out at least I had a day or two notice and didn't show up at her office. Now we have greater trust on this issue, and she is better about keeping her schedule straight and I don't feel the need to email her for confirmation. Yes, we shouldn't have to do something like that, but if it helps the appointment happen as planned, then it is worth it.

Hope you can get it sorted out with your psychiatrist.
