My old T and I had a few scheduling conflicts. I would show up at the office and his door would be open but he wouldn't be in his room. I would wait, 20 min or so, then leave. The first thing I thought every time was "I screwed it up again." I never once thought that he messed up or anything. So I would call and leave a VM...something like "I think I screwed up the appt time again, can you call me back and let me know when it is, or if we can reschedule". I always paid for the missed appt if he had me at a different time then I thought. Well, over the years I have learned something. I have never screwed up an apt with any other T, doctor, pdoc, hairdresser...etc, you name it. Makes me wonder.
