I have to be honest, your post confused me a little. I'm having trouble understanding exactly what you're struggling with. From what I can gather, though, is that you aren't really romantically attracted to him. It seems that you would be more comfortable being just friends with this guy than actually dating him. I think you should tell him this. It is unfair for either of you to stay in this relationship if the feelings are one sided.
