You can try deep breathing, visualization, distractions, and exercise. Maybe you could play some games with the kids. Are they old enough to play board games? If so, you could try playing those with them.

My mom said it always relaxed her to watch someone else clean! Maybe you could ask the kids to pick up or play a game where you and the kids could like score points or win "prizes" every time someone threw something away or put something away.
