As much as this may hurt to hear, I agree with the posts. Not knowing the situation with t (I'm a new member), everything now is a liability. Protocol was followed and as much as we don't believe it's true, people do care. I, too, say that you should give him the benefit of the doubt, but ultimately, the choice is yours.
