Littles this year got simple things that could also double for fun Bigs things.
A picture/story book about fairies (I love fairies and fantasy stuff) with a CD that reads the stories (great so a little can be out with blanket and stuffie and listen) , a couple of puppets--one a cow that MOOOS and a smaller cow so they could "talk" to each other (we take them to therapy and our T uses them for play therapy sometimes). A CD of silly songs that Bigs remember and can sing along just for fun...lightens the day and for a while we forget.

As my T tells me, there is a kid in all of us--Dissociative or not--and that Kid part needs to be acknowledged or we become sour over responsible over mature adults who have lost the fun in life. Those of us with Littles have such an advantage if we pay attention to them and allow them to show us once again the joy of being a Kid.

It's not so much giving them presents as just letting them be littles.

Shadow--we went to see Narnia, and Willow loved it--she's about 7-8 yrs old.
